Meet My Story

It all started with a diagnosis, but it turned into a mission: To show that living gluten-free can also be full of flavor, inspiration, and moments to share.

From a diagnosis to a new way of living

Hi, I'm Mariana, a Venezuelan mother of a two-year-old girl living in Valencia, Spain. In 2020, I started suffering from migraines. I went to the doctor, had an MRI, and they found nothing in my head. The doctor recommended avoiding certain foods, including gluten, wine, and chocolates, among others. I had noticed that eating bread triggered not only my migraines but also digestive discomfort. When I moved to Spain in 2022, I underwent new tests, including a colonoscopy and blood tests, after which they found that I suffer from celiac disease. Like many people who receive this diagnosis, I felt uncertainty, fear, and many questions. I started looking for recipes to prepare my gluten-free meals and, by being very disciplined with my eating habits, today my migraines and discomfort have disappeared.

What initially seemed like a limitation gradually became an opportunity to discover a world full of new ingredients, flavors, and possibilities.

Adaptation and Vocation

Adaptation and Vocation

As a chemical engineer, I've always been curious about how things work. That same curiosity led me to research, learn, and experiment in the kitchen to find gluten-free alternatives that were truly delicious, easy to prepare, and enjoyable for the whole family.

Over the years, I discovered that living a gluten-free life doesn't mean giving up the pleasure of eating well. It means learning, adapting, and finding new ways to enjoy every recipe.

But I also discovered something even more important: no one should walk this path alone.

It was then that I understood I wanted to share much more than recipes.

It was then that I understood I wanted to share much more than recipes.

I have always enjoyed helping people. Sharing what I learn, listening to experiences, and finding solutions has been part of who I am, both in my professional and personal life. That passion, coupled with my experience as a celiac, planted the seed for the idea of creating something that could help many more people.

Besides cooking, another one of my great passions is traveling. Each destination represents a new challenge and a new adventure to discover restaurants, cafes, and places where I can enjoy safe and delicious gluten-free food. Over the years, I have learned that, with a little planning and the right information, it is possible to travel and enjoy gastronomy without letting celiac disease limit our experiences.

I wanted to create a community where anyone living gluten-free could find inspiration, reliable information, recommendations for places to eat, practical tips, and mixes that would make baking simpler and more successful.

This is how Wild Gluten Free was born.

Where are we going

Our vision is for every person who joins this community to feel supported and discover that gluten-free cooking doesn't have to be complicated.

Because behind every blend, every recipe, and every article is a real story, the experience of someone who also walked this path and who today wants to help make yours a little easier.
